HAP opening
I went to the HAP opening this weekend, they threw a great party, as well as great art. HAP is a Candyland spinoff, with more space.

Some images from the opening...

Part one of the main execbition, a fog and light installation.

part two of the main exebition, you really needed to be there, it was pretty suggestive.

I dont know why this guy kept following us around, i never met him before.

Later that night, the cava replaced the sense...

great music and great people

Cirque du Soleil - Delirium, Madison Square Garden, NYC.

Delirium in New York
being able to score some last minute tickets, I ended up in a VIP seat on the new Cirque du Soleil Delirium in Madison Square garden the other night. The show was spectacular to say the least, even if the magic has gone missing. I have youtubed a video of one of the acts, check out the amazing light and projections...

Hot Dog and Champagne?
After having the largest hot dog ever, and a glass of champagne in the lobby, the audience was warmed up by Mitza. There was an intermission fo 20 minutes, before the spectacle begun. It was a mixed setup of circus artists, musicians and lights and projection scenery. It was not one of their best shows, and I later heard this was sort of a "leftover" piece, more music oriented and more surreal than usual. Throughout the show a guy dangled from the roof, and apparently the whole thing was his dream, or "delirium".

although it was not allowed to take pictures, partly to not disturb the artists, I still wanted to share this with you.

Love and War: The Weaponized woman @ the New York Fasion Institute of Technology

I went to see this free exebition today.

Joan of Arc is an unlikely fashion icon, but designers today are increasingly channeling the spirit of warrior women. Love and War: The Weaponized Woman, a visually stunning and intellectually daring exhibition takes an unprecedented look at the influence of armor and other military styles on fashion. But it's not all chain mail and camouflage. As designers seek to express sensuality, as well as power, they also reference lingerie.

"If lingerie is like soft skin, armor is a hard exoskeleton," said Dr. Valerie Steele, director and chief curator of The Museum at FIT. "Lingerie symbolizes nakedness, intimacy and seduction, while armor is associated with authority, protection and discipline." Different designers have, of course, focused on different aspects of this theme. Jean Paul Gaultier designed a camouflage ballgown for the haute couture, while Thierry Mugler envisioned sexy robots with hard, metallic bodies. The British design team Boudicca creates styles that evoke transgressive warrior women, and Junya Watanabe channels chic soldier boys. Both Narciso Rodriquez and Alexander McQueen have juxtaposed silk with chain mail. The list goes on . . .

The exhibition is organized by Dr. Steele; Patricia Mears, research curator; and Fred Dennis, associate curator of costume.

When the shit hit the fan...

My bike is usually pretty cool, but this was rediculous.

They had been warning for the weather for sure, but nevertheless, it comes as a suprise. I actually rode the bike both to work and back, and then to work and back AGAIN. I had forgot my macbook charger, and I need it in the US. The bikeride was exciting, very slow and quite cold. During the night, utter chaos hit STHLM in terms of traffic.
